wanting to start a blog was always ‘one of those things’, you know?

i’m pretty sure i’ve dabbled and made a couple blogs in the past that ended up dying a quick and inevitable death. this time i wanna shake it up a bit and actually make a blog with more than approximately 2 posts and 0 readers.
now when i say i enjoy saving money, i don’t just mean ‘oh yeah i am so buzzed about that 10% student discount on my £40 joni jeans’. no, i mean i T H R I V E off of real savings and bargains. to the point where if i see someone get a super good deal on something i can’t also get, such as a great charity shop find or a shop specific deal, i get insanely jealous and have to go out the next day to get a deal that’s better. the whole ‘poundworld closing down’ scene lately has been both amazing and awful for me. i’ve gotten so many amazing deals including holographic honeycomb decorations and tropical rugs and trays (blog post to follow…?). i was feeling great about all i’d found until i saw on a facebook bargains group (yes i’m part of many of these) that someone’s local poundworld were selling everything off as a ‘fill a bag of anything for £4 deal’. it didn’t matter about my amazing finds, i was so jealous i genuinely nearly cried lmao.
SO i want to take some more appreciation into the things i thrift, the things i craft, the things i find. as a recent graduate (lol help) and a bargain lover, the majority of my posts will be as cheap as possible. i hate diy people who show off things they made using materials totalling the cost of the original product.
you can trust this gal to keep it cheap. my motto genuinely used to be ‘more than £3, throw it to the ground’ because i literally would never spend more than £3 on anything unless i had to (like things that literally could never be that cheap). cute dress in the charity shop for £4? nah, i would literally turn my nose up and refuse to pay such an extortionate price lmao.
i’m getting better at letting go of my money, and do now part with my pennies and pounds on a more regular basis. however, i will always aim to thrift, sew, or craft my way before i start throwing my dollar away 🙂
here’s the start of something exciting.
